ingesti… changing direction?

We are proud to annouce that ingesti will be changing it’s logo soon… ooooh! Well as Jon Hicks (he’s the man behind the Firefox branding) points out that there are too many leaf logo’s on up and coming Web2.0 companies now. Therefore we are changing the brand identity to something more unique.

Check back here for more updates soon…

Folksonomy and ingesti

I had a few emails through enquiring about the ‘tagging’ element of ingesti. This is how tagging will work:
- Our RSS spider tags articles using an algorythmn to decide what the content is
- Users can further tag an article with what they think is neccessary. Here’s the tagging tool:

That should answer the questions we have received so far!

screenshots

Some of you may be wondering what ingesti actually looks like? We’ll here are a couple of screenshots of early ALPHA versions running… (the current version is running slightly differently than these screenshots):

Interestingly ALPHA 1 used “drag and drop” navigation to add items to your profile, but this was binned because it was too much of a useability issue.
